But, you can use sharp metal tools to create even more intricate designs without having to deal with hard spots or difficult grain. Add color using simple food coloring.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Materials &amp; Tools<\/h4>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b><i>MATERIALS:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u2022\u00a0Soap, such as white Lever 2000<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u2022\u00a0Pen<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u2022 Food coloring: yellow, pink, green<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b><i>TOOLS:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u2022 Knife with a long, thin, flexible blade<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u2022 Paintbrushes<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Soap: Carving the Project<\/h4>\n<table style=\"height: 294px;width: 852px\">\n<tbody>\n<tr style=\"height: 98px\">\n<td style=\"width: 163px;height: 98px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-17078\" src=\"https:\/\/woodcarving.zeeframes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/WEB-STROP-TALK-Soap-Flower-Step1-Landing-Page-150x185.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"163\" height=\"201\" \/><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 675px;height: 98px\">1. <strong>Prepare to carve.<\/strong> Assemble the tools and materials you will need. Select a soft, white bar of soap, such as Lever 2000. The soap should be easy to carve and not crumbly. Each line will be the middle of a petal. Use the knife to carve vein lines on the leaves. Use yellow on the middle of the flower, pink on the petals, and green on the leaves.
