You\u2019ll know the deadlines ahead of time and be able to plan your entries in advance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cash prizes!<\/strong> Winners in each category will receive $50 for first place, $30 for second place, and $20 for third place.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How It Works:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit as many entries as you like during the entry period for the each contest\u2014it\u2019s always free to enter! Then, the staff of Woodcarving Illustrated will choose up to 10 designs in each category.<\/li>\n<li>The Editors\u2019 Choice Award winners will be posted on our website to compete for the People\u2019s Choice Awards via public voting. Vote for your favorites, and share the contest with your friends so they can vote, too!<\/li>\n<li>The People\u2019s Choice Award winners will be published in Woodcarving Illustrated and announced on the magazine website. We\u2019ll send those cash prizes and a nice certificate for your wall.<\/li>\n<li>Plus! All entries will be considered for possible paid publication as projects in Woodcarving Illustrated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Categories and Deadlines:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The theme for the\u00a0fourth\u00a0contest is <strong>Ornaments: Painted &amp; Unpainted<\/strong>. We\u2019re looking for your best ideas and projects.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9875 size-medium aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/woodcarving.zeeframes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/WCI73-Contest-Chart-300x194.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"194\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Entry Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please send one high-resolution or professionally printed photo of your entry, along with the following information: Category (Ornaments Painted OR\u00a0Ornaments Unpainted), carving name, size, type of wood, tools (hand vs. power), and story\/inspiration, if any. Also, include your name, address, and e-mail address. If you do not have e-mail, include a phone number instead. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/woodcarving.zeeframes.com\/best-carving-design-contest\/\">See the Rules<\/a><\/strong> for important entry details (visit online, or send an SASE to request a printed copy).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>E-mail your entries to: <strong><a href=\"mailto:editors@woodcarvingillustrated.com\" target=\"_blank\">editors@woodcarvingillustrated.com<\/a><\/strong> with a subject of \u201cWCI Contest.\u201d Or, mail to: WCI Contest, Fox Chapel Publishing, 1970 Broad St., East Petersburg PA 17520.
